The first article in this marketing success series related to was concerned with having the appropriate business mindset, a crucial element of marketing success. The second article dealt with “Coachability”. No one who is not capable of following a proven marketing system will likely ever build a successful online or direct response business. The third article in this series on marketing success and mindset relates to vision. Vision is defined as unusual competence of perception or discernment. A person of vision in the marketing world has intelligent foresight and should not be in any way be connected to visionaries.
So many people are visionary but do not have or possess a vision for success. The term visionary is attached easily to marketing schemes and in the marketing world there is a plethora of schemes and schemers. Everyone wants to meet with success, that is a given but at what price? Visionaries are people who see visions, or whose ideas are impractical and unrealistic in their application to the marketing arena. They are given to attract those who are gullible and easily sucked by the push of magic button marketing schemes that abound in the Internet, and other marketing media options. The vast majority of business marketing failures relate to people getting hooked on these schemes or are caught-up with the persona of these visionaries and blindly following after them sometimes spending thousands of dollars without ever making a penny. Daily I talk with people who say that they have spent at least fifteen to twenty thousand dollars on marketing and have nothing to show for it.
The need is for people with a vision for marketing success. That is, individuals with the ability to perceive or foresee something through mental acuteness.They do not jump on every marketing strategy or unproven program that comes along. There are many marketers who offer gimicky, unusual, quirky and yes, sometimes borderline illegal marketing plans that made them rich quickly. These strategies work for a very short period of time and then are worthless. Leaders in the marketing world with real vision, put together time-tested and time-proven courses and programs for marketing success; that everyone can take advantage of and meet with great marketing success. Without vision the people perish is a Biblical statement with truth for the business marketing world. Having vision is crucial to the mindset of business marketing success, and though some people seem to be really gifted in this area, developing vision is not difficult. The real key is having eyes that see the big 3M’s.
Make sure that the three M’s are in place. The business mindset, the niche market and a proven marketing program, or system. Failure to have all three in sight will hinder success.
